BUSINESS LICENSE WRITE-OFF

 

The Ministry of Finance would like to inform the public that the House of Assembly at its sitting on 13th December, 2021 passed Government Resolution No. 3 of 2021- Write Off of Business License Arrears (Penalties) in the following categories:

Businesses located on the Island of Grand Turk that fall within the aforementioned categories, are encouraged to visit the Inland Revenue Department (“IRD”) at Hibiscus Square to remit payment on their outstanding licensing fee only or alternatively to advise of the current status of their business.

 

Note that the penalty write-off is only for the period until 31st December, 2021; penalty will therefore begin to once again accrue on 1st January, 2022.

Temporary Closure - Providenciales Revenue Department

Latest News 22 October 2021

 

The Revenue Department wishes to advise the general public that the work operations of the Providenciales Inland Revenue Department Office will be suspended on Friday, 22nd October 2021. As a precautionary measure and in observance to the prevailing Covid-19 protocols, the Inland Revenue Department Office will undergo deep cleaning and sanitization.

Collection & Display of Business License Certificates

The Revenue Department would like to remind the business community that Business License Certificates must be promptly collected at the Revenue Department Offices ten(10) business days after payment has been made. Therefore, all outstanding certificates that were paid for beyond the stipulated ten(10) business days must be collected forthwith.

Licenses should be collected and displayed conspicuously at your place of business as stipulated by section 16(1) of the Business Licensing Ordinance.

Persons failing to display or produce a valid business licence are subject to closure as stipulated in section 16(2) of the Business Licensing Ordinance and is simultaneously committing an offence which under the provisions of 16(3) of the Business Licensing Ordinance is subject to a $1,000 fine.
