TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS POST CABINET MEETING STATEMENT - 18TH SEPTEMBER 2024

Governor, Her Excellency, Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, chaired the 30th meeting of Cabinetheld on Wednesday, 18th September 2024 at the Office of the Premier and Public Policy, Leeward Highway, Providenciales.

All members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting of Cabinet:

1. Approved the Supplementary Estimates for the Supplementary Appropriation Bill No. 1 for onward submission to the House of Assembly.

2. Approved the publication of the Statutory Body financial report as required by Section 147 of the Public Financial Management Ordinance 2014.

3. Approved the adjustment of staff complement to enable the recruitment of six additional Air Traffic Controllers.

4. Approved a proposed lease agreement to house various Government Offices in Conch Bar, Middle Caicos 40104/081 for a period of five (5) years.

5. Received an update report on the TCI Maritime Boundary Delimitation negotiation with the Bahamas.

6. Noted the award of the following contract in line with the provisions of the Public Procurement Ordinance:

· Contract PN 005696, TR 23/99, Purchase of Patrol Vessel.

7. Approved the continued engagement of expert valuation services through to the conclusion of the Court proceeding, in respect of a court matter, with the said funding being charged against the Claims Against Government account.
