POST  CABINET  STATEMENT  - 25TH  FEBRUARY  2026

Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 7th meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday February 25th, 2026, at the Governor’s Office, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present; with the exception of Hon. Jamell Robinson, Deputy Premier. 

At this meeting Cabinet: 

Approved the proposed revised Business Licensing Fee schedule for inclusion in the Business Licensing Amendment Regulations. 

Approved a temporary moratorium on the granting of concessions for new large scale tourism developments in Providenciales. 

Approved a long term lease over parcel 60804/148 for the purpose of developing and operating a restaurant, cinema and arcade. 

Approved the revised Travel Policy for the Turks and Caicos Islands Government. 

Approved the adoption of the Limiting the Sale of Residential Land and Property Policy. 

Approved a policy decision for an Amendment of Development Permission Regulations 16-Form DOP 2 of the Physical Planning Ordinance 2021. 

Approved a comprehensive policy and legislative reform for the Regularization of Illegal Jitney Operations and reform of the Community Cab Regime. 

Approved amendments to the Overseas Medical Treatment Progam . 

Noted the findings of the Actuarial Review Report of the NHI Plan as at March 31, 2020. 

Approved the integration of the Health Professions Authority Legislation under the Health Regulation Authority Legislation. 

Approved a request for the waiver of facility rental fees at the Gustarvus Lightbourne Sports Complex for inter government use.
