POST CABINET STATEMENT- 1ST APRIL 2026
Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 12th meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday April 1, 2026 at the Premier’s Office, Providenciales. All members of Cabinet were present with the exception of the H.E. Anya Williams- Deputy Governor, with Athenee Basden sitting as Acting Deputy Governor.
At this meeting Cabinet:

Approved the Supplementary Submission Stamp Duty Rate Reform Transitional framework, zero-rated threshold confirmation and commencement arrangements.

Approved in principle a lease over Parcel 10405/230 on Grand Turk.

Approved the re-appropriation of various projects to financial year 2026-2027

Approved the revision to the grades and salaries for four members of the National Insurance Board’s staff.

Noted the indicative intervention areas of Development Assistance between the Government and the Caribbean Development Bank.

Noted the update on Turks and Caicos Islands activities and action plan for execution by the Financial Transactions Information Exchange towards the removal of the TCI from the European Union code of Conduct Group.

Noted the current status of contractual arrangement between the Royall Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force on police records.

Approved the utilization of the reserve fund to fund the operations of the Financial Services Commission for fy 2026/2027.

Approved for the TCIG to submit a proposal to the World Bank Digital LAC AI Accelerator.
