POST  CABINET  STATEMENT- 18TH  FEBRUARY  2026

Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 6th meeting of the Cabinet held on Wednesday February 18th, 2026, at the Office of the Premier, Grand Turk. All members of Cabinet were present. 

At this meeting Cabinet: 

Noted the Outcome of the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal proceedings relating to the intended compulsory acquisition of Parcel 60602/099. 

Noted the update on the Independent Review of the Draft Cites Non-Detriment Findings (NDF) on Queen Conch in the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

Endorsed the proposed Beach and Coastal Vending (Amendment) Regulations 2026 

Approved the proposal to Repeal Legislation on Willful Spreading of Infectious and Venereal Diseases (Section 12 of the Public and Environmental Health Ordinance 21 of 2020) regarding criminalization of Willful Spreading of Venereal Diseases.  

Approved the appointment of the following persons to the Prison Visiting Committee for a period of two years: Ms. Latisha Simmons-Chair, Mr. Delano Williams, Mr. Guy Morgan, Pastor Dr. Pedro Williams, Dr. Valerie Francois, Ms. Tayna Keize-McAulay and Ms. Shanetta Thompson-Secretary. 

Approved the acquisition of Land on the island of Providenciales for Housing Development. 

Approved the revised subsidy models for Government Supported Inter-Island Commercial Air Services. 

Noted the information paper regarding the disposal of elections 2025 documents as prescribed by Law.
