Her Excellency Anya Williams, Acting Governor, chaired the 31st meeting of Cabinet held on 3rd December, 2025 at the Office of the Governor, Raleigh House, Leeward Highway, Providenciales.
All members were present with the exception of Her Excellency Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam, Governor; Hon. Jamell Robinson, Deputy Premier and Minister of Immigration and Border Services; Hon. Rachel Taylor, Minister for Education, Youth, Sports, Culture, and Library Services; Hon. Zhavargo Jolly, Minister for Tourism; and Hon. Rhondalee Braithwaite-Knowles, Attorney General with Ms. Khalila Astwood attending as Acting Attorney General.
At this meeting Cabinet:
Approved, on an exceptional basis, a Customs Import Duty Exemption Order for The Palms TCI to complete the refurbishment that was previously approved.
Approved the purchase of an equity stake in TCI ACH for the Turks and Caicos Islands Government to participate as a shareholder in an Automated Clearing House.
Approved the re-appointment of Dr. Gogontle Gatang-McCartney as a member of the Turks and Caicos Islands Gaming Control Commission Board.
Approved for the Turks and Caicos Islands to host the Caribbean Association of Probation and Parole Conference in 2026.
Approved the appointment of the Accountant General, Mr. Ivan Ssembuya, as a member of the National Wealth Fund Board.

Approved the formal participation of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the FIFA Arena Project.
Approved the establishment of a Civil Registration and Identity Technical Working Group.
Approved a proposed amendment to the Public Financial Management Act to facilitate the establishment of a Government Investment Holding Company to hold and manage the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and relevant agencies shareholdings.
Approved, in principle, the establishment of a Technical Advisory Committee as a National Standards-Setting Body for Digital Identity and Technical Upgrades with further recommendations to be made on appointments subject to funding.
Approved the re-appointment of Ms. Sharlene Richards as Chairperson of the Immigration and Population Policy Board for a period of one year effective December 16, 2025.
Approved a revised interim compensation structure for the TCI Hospitals while a further comprehensive review is completed.
