CABINET OF THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS – POST MEETING SUMMARY - 26TH NOVEMBER 2024

Her Excellency the Governor Dileeni Daniel-Selvaratnam chaired the 39th meeting of Cabinet held on November 26th, 2024. All members of Cabinet were present.

At this meeting Cabinet:

· Approved the publication of the Statutory Bodies 2nd Quarter Special Purpose Financial Report for FY 2024/2025.

· Approved the reinstatement of the MOU between the Turks and Caicos Islands Government and Geta Crew Holdings Ltd.

· Received a presentation by the National Delivery Unit.

· Noted an update on MSME Programme for FY 2023-2024 and Cumulative Impact since Inception.

· Approved an application for a long-term lease for Northwest TCI Holding for a lease over part of parcel 6000/235, North West & Central.

· Approved a non-exclusive license for Island Displays for a period of five (5) years.

· Approved the public holidays for the Turks and Caicos Islands for 2025.

· Approved a change Order for the TCI Hospitals in relation to the provision of orthopedic services.

· Approved the funding for long-term residential care for a ward of the state.

· Approved the adoption of a policy in relation to TCIAA essential staff.

· Received a presentation on the TCI Global School Health Survey and Global Youth Tobacco Survey.

· Approved a policy and related drafting instructions for amendments to the Control of Drugs Ordinance 1976.

· Approved the subsidized entry of Western Air into Grand Turk with direct service to and from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

· Approved the draft TCIG guarantee for the TCIAA airport redevelopment.

· Approved the naming of the new sports complex and shelter to the Hon. Rita Gardiner Sports Complex and North Backsalina Sports Park as the Hon. Oswald Skippings Park.

· Received an update on the National Health Insurance Board.
