PUBLIC ADVISORY 0800 PM EDT Monday, 19th June, 2023

TROPICAL STORM BRET FORMS OVER THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC OCEAN

The TCI National Weather Service and the Department of Disaster Management & Emergencies are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Bret. It is forecasted to strengthen and move across the Lesser Antilles as a hurricane on Thursday and Friday. However, due to the significant uncertainty in the track forecast beyond Friday, it is too early to determine the exact location and intensity of the system.

While there is no immediate threat to the Turks and Caicos Islands, residents and visitors need to stay informed and prepared for any potential changes in the weather conditions. The TCI National Weather Service and the Department of Disaster Management & Emergencies will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
