The Department of Social Development and Gender Affairs is the leading agency in child protection and gender equality, this also includes the responsibility of ensuring that the protocols, policies, legislations, gender needs and priorities are implemented into a country’s strategic planning and budgeting processes.
The two-day workshop is scheduled to be held on November 11th – 12th 2015 at the NJS Frances, West Committee Conference Room, House of Assembly, Grand Turk, T.C.I. Attending the workshop would be representatives from key Ministries/Departments. (Financial Officers, Budget Officers, Health Professional, Education Offices and Social Workers). On Friday, November 13, 2015 the Consultant will meet with Government Officials to strengthen the working partnership and begin preparation for the joint Work Plan for 2016.
The Facilitator for the workshop is Social and Economic Policy Specialist, Ms. Maya Faisal UNICEF Office for the Eastern Caribbean Area.
