Elections Day for the positions of President and Vice President of the CSA is scheduled to take place on 7^th April, 2016. The CSIA would like to advise public officers of 1) Polling locations and 2) the requirements for voting. Public Officers are being requested to pay keen attention to the information detailed below. Kindly note that ONLY teachers will be permitted to vote at the schools, all other public officers will be required to vote at the designated locations.

THE POLLING PLACE:

The polling location(s) and hours of voting are set out in the table below:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Voters will be required to bring ONE (1) form of identification to the polls. These can include:
  • Passport
  • NIB Card
  • NHIP card
  • Drivers Licence
  • National Turks & Caicos Islander Status Card
• Once the voter(s) presents their identification, the voter's eligibility will be checked, and mark the voter's name off the eligibility list. Each voter will also have to sign a voter register before receiving a ballot.

• Election officials, voters and observers are NOT permitted to wear campaign buttons, stickers, or other types of campaign apparel in the polling area.
• There will be NO campaigning in the polling area. Order will be maintained at the polls at all times.
• Each candidate will be permitted to have an observer at the polls.
• Before voting begins, the ballot box will be opened in the presence of observers to make sure that it is empty, and then it should be sealed or locked until the ballot tally begins.
• The polls WILL be opened precisely at the scheduled time and the polling hours listed in the election notice WILL be strictly followed. However, any members waiting in line at closing time should be permitted to vote.

VOTING:

• Mark an “X” in the box next to the name of the candidates of your choice. Do not put your name, initials, or any other identifying information on the ballot. Ballots containing any identifying information will be voided.
