MINISTRY OF FINANCE PLANS TAXPAYERS EDUCATION DAY

The Revenue Department (RD) is hosting Annual Taxpayers Education Day- on Friday, November 18^th 2016.

The event is being held at Butterfield Square in Providenciales and Hibiscus Square in Grand Turk both from 10 am to 3 pm.

The primary focus is to inform and educate taxpayers and improve awareness on the various services administered by Revenue Departments in efforts to improve voluntary compliance.

"The Taxpayer Education Day is an annual event hosted by the Revenue Department to showcase the achievements of the Department, educate taxpayers on the application of the various taxes and most importantly, show appreciation to those taxpayers who have been compliant over the year.   It is our hope that this event continues to promote voluntary compliance thus improving overall revenue collections," says Mrs. Cynthia Castillo-Wineglass – Commissioner of Revenues.

Other highlights of the day include: launching of the Department’s Customer Service Charter and promotion of our Website, Facebook page, Instagram and the upcoming E-Business Initiatives.
