Role of the Department
The Sports Commission governs all sporting activities in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is responsible for the coordination of the work and programmes of the various sporting bodies on each island and for the supervision of the competitive sporting activities in schools. The Commission is led by the Director of Sports. The Director is supported by a Senior Sports Development Officer who coordinates the activities of Sports Officers on each island with the exception of North Caicos, and secretarial and clerical assistance.
