Statement from MOT on Returning Residents

The Ministry of Tourism continues to encourage Turks and Caicos Islands residents and students who wish to return to the country, to register with the Tourist Board.   1. Name
  2. Number of persons in your traveling party
  3. Contact information
  4. Country of departure
  5. Proof of legal status in the Turks and Caicos Islands

As of May 15th the Emergency Powers (COVID-19) (No. 4) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2020 came into operation and provided for the return of the following persons by international air travel:

  1. Turks and Caicos Islanders
  2. Permanent residents who ordinarily reside in the Islands for the majority of the year as opposed to those who reside outside of the Islands and only travel to the Islands occasionally during the year
  3. Residence Permit holders who are married to Turks and Caicos Islanders

Flights arrangements are currently in progress and final details will be provided to persons registered in our database. The following upcoming flights have been coordinated by the Ministry of Tourism for returning residents:

  • London, Heathrow to Providenciales on 11th June 2020 via British Airways
  • Nassau, Bahamas to Providenciales on 11th June 2020 via Bahamas Air

Additional flights will be announced to facilitate the return of residents prior to the reopening of our borders on July 22, 2020.

Returning residents should note the following:

  1. You must contact the airlines directly to book a seat. Details will be provided to you via email.
  2. You will be required to complete and submit to the airline a health screening questionnaire for COVID-19 prior to arrival in the Islands.
  3. You will be placed under quarantine in a specified place for a period of fourteen days and shall be monitored by a health officer for symptoms and signs of COVID-19 disease.
  4. You will be required to sign a quarantine order and to complete other relevant forms as required by the Ministry of Health.
