Welcome to Environmental Health Department

The Turks and Caicos Islands Environmental Health Department (TCIEHD) is an arm of the Ministry of Health, Agriculture, Sports and Human Services that is concerned with all aspects of the natural and built environment that may affect human health.

The EHD team is comprised of highly educated, qualified, responsible, and trustworthy individuals with unique abilities and backgrounds. We all work together with one common goal, to protect and improve the health and well-being of the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands, by making sure that peoples living and working surroundings are safe, healthy and hygienic.

Members of the Environmental Health Department make sure everything from the food you eat, the water you drink, the air you breathe and pools you swim in are safe. We implement and uphold Health and Safety Standards throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.
