GENERAL SITUATION: A STATIONARY FRONT NEAR THE CENTRAL BAHAMAS COUPLED WITH STREAMING TROPICAL MOISTURE FROM TROPICAL DEPRESSION ETA WILL PRODUCE UNSETTLED WEATHER OVER THE BAHAMAS ISLANDS THROUGH TONIGHT.

SPECIAL WARNINGS: MARINERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE RISK OF WATERSPOUTS ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS, HIGHER SEAS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY IN OR NEAR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.  SMALL CRAFT OPERATORS ARE URGED TO REMAIN IN PORT AND BEACHGOERS SHOULD NOT ENTER THE WATER.

WINDS: EASTERLY AT 15 TO 25 KNOTS IN THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS….EAST TO SOUTHEAST AT 15 TO 20 KNOTS IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS INCLUDING THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS.                                  

SEAS: 4 TO 7 FEET NEARSHORE ACROSS ALL AREAS BUT UP TO 9 FEET IN EASTERLY SWELLS ALONG ATLANTIC EXPOSED SHORES IN THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS.

WEATHER: CLOUDY TO OVERCAST, VERY WINDY AND HUMID WITH ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. WITH WIDELY SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

WINDS: EAST TO SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 KNOTS IN THE NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS INCREASING 20 TO 30 KNOTS BY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON…SOUTHEAST TO SOUTH AT 15 TO 20 KNOTS IN THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS INCLUDING THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS.

SEAS: 7 TO 10 FEET BUILDING 8 TO 12 FEET BY LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON; HIGHER IN GUSTS IN THE

NORTHWEST AND CENTRAL BAHAMAS…..4 TO 7 FEET IN THE SOUTHEAST BAHAMAS INCLUDING THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS.
