PUBLIC FORECAST FOR TODAY AND TONIGHT MONDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 2020                                                                                                                                                        

GENERAL SITUATION: UNSETTLED WEATHER AND FRESH TO MODERATE WINDS REMAINS ACROSS THE BAHAMAS, AS TROPICAL STORM ETA, NEAR THE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA COAST CONTINUES TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE AREA TODAY.  

SPECIAL WARNINGS: TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTHWEST BAHAMAS. RESIDENTS COULD EXPECT WIDESPREAD FLOODING ACROSS THE ARCHIPELAGO AND SHOULD BE AWARE OF DANGEROUS SEA SWELLS AND WAVES OVER-TOPPING SEAWALLS AND COASTAL ROADS.

TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK:  1) A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LOCATED SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OR 60 PERCENT CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE NEXT FIVE DAYS.

2) A TROPICAL WAVE IS FORECAST TO MOVE OVER THE CENTRAL CARIBBEAN SEA, WHERE AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE COULD FORM IN A FEW DAYS. THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OR 50 PERCENT CHANCE OF FORMATION THROUGH THE NEXT FIVE DAYS.
