public notice: international volunteer's day 2022

International Volunteer’s Day 2022

As we Celebrate International Volunteers Day 2022, we celebrate under this theme of Solidarity through Volunteering for the future of our planet, we must act together, and we must act now. Apart from individuals giving back to the community, volunteers are an essential part of any organization, whether it be developing new skills or meeting people of similar interests. Whatever the reason for their participation, volunteers give up their time to support your cause, often being the driving force and biggest donors and advocates.

Therefore, as a country, we must continue to maintain close relationships with volunteers, which will potentially help your organization diversify and expand. As we celebrate International Volunteers Day 2022, let us continue to work in solidarity with all volunteers here in the Turks and Caicos Islands and abroad as we continue to work together to build resilience at home and throughout the world.

We must remember that solidarity through volunteering means we have and live a sense of responsibility for everyone else, and no one can do this for us. It involves us choosing to live out our responsibility to help meet the needs of others; in fact, solidarity impels us to act.

Today, the DDME salutes and thanks all volunteers here in the Turks and Caicos Islands for all you do and continue to do for the betterment of the Turks and Caicos Islands. We salute you, Volunteers, on this 2022 International Volunteers Day, and we look forward to your continuous support.
