Public Notice: DDME 2021 Training Needs Survey for the Turks and Caicos Islands

The Department of Disaster Management and Emergencies, invites you to participate in the annual National Training Needs Survey. The purpose of the survey is to gather feedback from all residents in the Turks and Caicos (Stakeholders, Businesses, Volunteers, Departments) to help the DDME’s Education and Training Unit build a training program specific to our national needs. Hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, wildfires and other natural hazards can strike at any time and can have disastrous effects, causing massive losses and damage all over the world.

Thus, we need to be equipped to combat these possible impacts, enabling the population’s resilience and reducing our risks. Resilience strengthens our capacity, thus, reducing our vulnerability. Hence, we are working on activities and programmes aimed to prevent disasters through training our citizens in the disaster risk management systems at local and national levels.

Your cooperation in completing this survey will ensure the success of this effort to confirm your anticipated training needs and assist the DDME Training Unit Team to deliver the best training possible. Kindly click on the link below to complete the survey:  https://forms.gle/HtosuwWA7pJnT5th7.

The deadline for completion of the survey is by Friday 3rd December, 2021, at 4:00pm. If there are any questions or concerns respondents are encouraged to contact the DDME’s office at 1649-946-4177 or Mrs. Pollard Harris, Training Officer at Tel: 649-338-4033 or Email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
