IT & Network Support Officer

The IT & Network Support Officer will monitor the activity of the RTCIPF network to ensure that its performance is constantly maintained at a satisfactory level.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
  • monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • conduct changes in a domain controlled environment
  • troubleshoot issues physically, remotely or via telephone with end users
  • troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • replace parts as required on systems
  • provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • support the roll-out of new applications
  • set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • respond within agreed time limits to call-outs via the Jira system
  • work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate) via Jira
  • prioritize and manage open cases
  • test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on equipment.
  • Setup, management and maintenance of network equipment
  • Must be able to identify different network standards and determine the benefits for the RTCIPF.
  • Terminate cabling as necessary
  • Assist staff in copying content from one medium to another or the same type
  • Accompany investigators in extracting Digital Media Evidence from devices and systems such as CCTV, mobile phones, etc.
  • Produce statements for court purposes as required

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5 years in the IT and networking field
  • Knowledge in CCTV systems
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Directory
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge in Structured Cabling

 

Salary:  Grade 8 $ 54,789.20 USD per annum
