The IT & Network Support Officer will monitor the activity of the RTCIPF network to ensure that its performance is constantly maintained at a satisfactory level.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications
- monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- conduct changes in a domain controlled environment
- troubleshoot issues physically, remotely or via telephone with end users
- troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- replace parts as required on systems
- provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- support the roll-out of new applications
- set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- respond within agreed time limits to call-outs via the Jira system
- work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate) via Jira
- prioritize and manage open cases
- test and evaluate new technology
- Conduct electrical safety checks on equipment.
- Setup, management and maintenance of network equipment
- Must be able to identify different network standards and determine the benefits for the RTCIPF.
- Terminate cabling as necessary
- Assist staff in copying content from one medium to another or the same type
- Accompany investigators in extracting Digital Media Evidence from devices and systems such as CCTV, mobile phones, etc.
- Produce statements for court purposes as required
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years in the IT and networking field
- Knowledge in CCTV systems
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge in Microsoft Suite
- Knowledge in Structured Cabling
Salary: Grade 8 $ 54,789.20 USD per annum
